Meet Étienne

"I like it when art is imperfect—like real life," says Étienne, an artist from the South of France who creates his posters in an old studio near Toulouse. His art thrives on contrasts: organic forms meet clear lines, warm colors meet calm surfaces.

Étienne lives in a quiet village surrounded by vineyards, pine trees, and old stone walls. "The surroundings shape my work. Everything here is slower, more deliberate—this is reflected in my motifs," he explains. In his light-filled studio, he works with acrylic, digital brush, or charcoal—depending on his mood and subject matter.

His posters are characterized by a Mediterranean lightness, but also depth. Some motifs appear abstract, others tell small stories – always reduced, but with feeling. Étienne knows how to create atmosphere with just a few strokes – and fill spaces with character.
